Cutting discs
WEFRA cutting discs are manufactured with special corundum, resulting in a maximum iron and sulfur content of 0.1%. Therefore, the abrasive particles in these cutting and grinding discs do not cause surface oxidation. Many WEFRA cutting discs are specifically designed for machining stainless steel; no further treatment is necessary. However, these discs must not be used on stainless steel after being used on mild steel.
Grinding discs
WEFRA grinding discs are used for coarse grinding work, such as smoothing weld seams. To achieve optimal results, we offer grinding discs whose abrasive grain and bond are tailored to the material being used. Our universal grinding discs are the perfect choice for working with different materials in rapid succession.
Grinding cups
WEFRA grinding cups achieve a very high material removal rate thanks to their selected raw material composition and conical shape, making them ideal for surface grinding. The various grit sizes, from very coarse (16 grit) to very fine (60 grit or 120 grit for stone), allow for all surface finishing, from rough grinding to final grinding. For hard-to-reach areas in metalworking, we have developed our A24P grinding cup as a special version with a cup height of only 35 mm. WEFRA grinding cups are suitable for angle grinders with variable speed. Try our product now with its improved formula – made in Germany of course!
Diamond cutting discs
Diamonds – whether natural or synthetic – consist of carbon and are the hardest known material. Embedded in the appropriate bond, they perform the actual work when cutting or grinding with a diamond tool. The quality, grain size, and concentration of the diamonds are therefore crucial for the performance of a diamond tool. Besides the diamonds themselves, the bond is also largely responsible for the tool's cutting performance. The hardness of the metal bond is matched to the hardness of the material being cut. The rule of thumb is: Use a hard bond for soft and abrasive materials (e.g., asphalt, fresh concrete, sandstone) and a soft bond for hard materials (e.g., granite, clinker bricks, etc.). Try WEFRA diamond cutting discs now.
Diamond grinding cups
Diamond grinding cups are tools coated with diamond particles. They are used to work materials such as concrete, granite, or slate. Industrial grinding cups are primarily used for removing imperfections, grinding joints, and removing paint residue. They have a wide range of applications: In construction, monument preservation, and stone processing. WEFRA diamond grinding cups stand out due to their exceptionally high quality and densely packed diamonds, ensuring highly efficient material removal and a long service life.
Diamond drill bits
WEFRA diamond drill bits are hollow drilling tools coated with diamonds for use in hard rock such as igneous rock and sandstone. Rock fragmentation is achieved through scoring to impact cutting. With surface-coated diamond core bits, the surface of the bit lip is coated with diamonds. This type of core bit is used for medium-hard, homogeneous rock. With impregnated diamond core bits, the entire bit lip is impregnated with diamonds. These are used in hard to very hard, fractured rock.
Fiber discs and plates
Fiber discs are round grinding tools made of vulcanized fiber coated with abrasive grain and synthetic resin. They are primarily used in angle grinders for various grinding tasks such as deburring, rust removal, or the finishing of welds on metals. WEFRA fiber discs are characterized by high grinding performance and excellent service life. A backing pad is required for using fiber discs.
Flap discs
WEFRA flap discs consist of many overlapping abrasive flaps arranged on a backing pad. These flaps are usually made of fabric and coated with abrasive grains. The fan-like arrangement of the flaps ensures that fresh abrasive grains are continuously applied during grinding, resulting in even material removal and a long service life.
Flap grinding pins
Flap grinding pins are grinding tools consisting of many small, fan-shaped abrasive flaps mounted around an axis. These flaps are usually made of fleece or linen and coated with abrasive grit. They are used for cleaning, derusting, pre-grinding, texturing, and roughening surfaces, particularly in metalworking.
Flap grinding rolls
Flap grinding rolls ensure uniform and homogeneous material removal. WEFRA flap rollers are used for deburring or fine grinding of steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other non-metallic components. The focus is on a contour-adapting finish, achieved through the fabric flap arrangement. Unlike abrasive belts, flap rollers yield and adapt to workpiece contours. WEFRA flap rollers are distinguished by their quality and durability.
Power fleece abrasives
WEFRA power fleece abrasives consist of a coarse fleece made from durable nylon filaments and coarse-grained silicon carbide. The flexible, open structure, which prevents clogging, results in high material removal rates, a long service life, and quiet operation. WEFRA Power Fleece abrasives are particularly suitable for surface cleaning, such as removing paint, rust, scale, stone, and cement, as well as for pre- and post-treatment of welds, steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, aluminum, plastic, and wood.
Abrasive rolls and abrasive sheets
We supply abrasive rolls and sheets made of paper in all standardized sizes and hole shapes. The shapes and dimensions vary depending on the type of sanding machine. Paper abrasive sheets are suitable for simple hand sanding on many types of surfaces and for light to medium-duty applications. To achieve optimal product lifespan when sanding by hand, we recommend using a hand sanding block. We offer abrasive sheets and rolls in paper or cloth versions for processing wood, steel, or non-ferrous metals.
Wire brushes
Wire e="en-gb/trenn-/drahtbursten" type="page" href="/en-gb/trenn-/drahtbursten" data-runtime-url="/en-gb/trenn-/drahtbursten">brushes are used for pre- and post-processing welds, removing rust, scale, paint, or slag. They are used in preparing metal surfaces before painting, in bodywork, shipbuilding, and steel construction – for rough cleaning work on large, smooth surfaces as well as on critical areas such as beams and welded structures. WEFRA Premium wire brushes are made with stainless steel wire (acid and corrosion resistant) and are used, among other things, in the food industry.
Fleece discs
Fleece discs are particularly suitable for achieving a fine surface finish. They are characterized by excellent handling, exceptionally smooth running, and special edge flexibility. We also supply matching backing pads for a wide range of applications.
