HOW WE CAN HELP OUT
We are happy to help you - just get in touch!
Comprehensive advice on the subject of grinding is essential for optimal results. We help you to select the right grinding tool for your customers, using the raw materials and grit sizes perfectly suited to the application. We explain the correct technique and the necessary steps for surface preparation and any required post-treatment. To prevent injuries with high-speed grinding products, we also provide you with instructions for safe handling. Below are some examples of parameters we will discuss with you to ensure the perfect product selection:
The
grain size
determines the fineness of the product. Coarse grains are used for preliminary sanding to remove unevenness and old coatings. Medium grains are used for smoothing and preparing for fine sanding. Fine grains are intended for fine sanding and preparation for painting, oiling, or waxing. There are various
materials and raw materials, such as aluminum oxide, silicon carbide, or natural materials, which are suitable for different materials and applications. Synthetic abrasives or diamond products are often sharper and more durable, while natural materials are suitable for softer woods. The
dispersion
indicates how densely the abrasive grains are distributed on the sandpaper. Open distribution is better suited for soft materials, while closed distribution is recommended for harder materials. The
sanding technique has a significant impact on the end result. The right pressure, sanding direction, and sanding type (e.g., intermediate sanding, fine sanding, wet or dry sanding) are important here. It must be clarified whether the surface is to be post-treated or whether materials are to be processed using sanding products that minimize dust formation. If post-treatment is necessary (e.g., in the case of sanding errors), we will provide you with the appropriate tips and advice on how to remedy this.
