Diamond cutting discs for dry and wet cutting

Diamonds – whether natural or synthetic – consist of carbon and are the hardest known material. Embedded in the appropriate bond, they perform the actual work when cutting, drilling, or grinding with a diamond tool. The quality, grain size, and concentration of the diamonds are therefore crucial for the performance of a diamond tool. Besides the diamonds themselves, the bond is also largely responsible for the tool's cutting performance. The hardness of the metal bond is matched to the hardness of the material being machined. The general rule is: Use a hard bond for soft and abrasive materials (e.g., asphalt, fresh concrete, sandstone) and a soft bond for hard materials (e.g., granite, hard clinker).

All dry-cutting discs can also be used for wet cutting (not the other way around). This results in a longer disc lifespan. For wet cutting only use approved electrical machines!
